Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah, has met the President of Uzbekistan, Shaukat Mirzayev, in Tashkent on Sunday.
Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyya is in Uzbekistan on a two-day official visit.
According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah conveyed messages of goodwill to President Shaukat, his government and the brotherly people of Uzbekistan on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince.

Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiyya said that his visit to Uzbekistan is part of the unique, historic relationship between the two countries.
On this occasion, many cooperation agreements have been signed in various fields including Hajj and Umrah.
The Saudi minister said that about 12,000 people from Uzbekistan came on Hajj during the last Hajj season. Hajj quota has been increased after the end of Corona epidemic. He said that more than 36 thousand people have performed Umrah from Uzbekistan during the last two months. Most of them visited the Prophet's Mosque and also saw the historical and religious places of Medina.
The Hajj Minister said that the issuance of Umrah and Pilgrimage visas online has been made easy through the Nasik platform. Now it has become possible to issue Umrah visas more easily and quickly.
Earlier, the duration of Umrah visa was one month. Now Umrah pilgrims from any country in the world have been given the facility to stay in the kingdom for three months.
