The UAE government has approved an allowance for citizens working in the private sector.
According to the Subak website, the President of the Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum directed to improve the income of citizens working in the private sector.Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has said that 'the purpose of the decision is to attract Emirati citizens to the banking sector in addition to the private sector.'
"According to the decision, allowance will be given to 100,000 citizens serving in the private sector for the next five years."
He said that every citizen who is associated with the private sector or the banking sector will be able to benefit from the decision, regardless of whether he has been associated with this sector at any time.
Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan further said that the allowance of citizens serving in the private sector will not exceed AED 30,000 per month with salary. Citizens will be given an allowance of up to 7,000 dirhams per month based on their educational degree.
