Iran: Female journalist arrested for interviewing Mahsa Amini's father

Iranian security forces have detained a female reporter who interviewed the father of Mehsa Amini, who was arrested for not wearing a hijab and died in custody.

According to foreign media, the organization working for human rights has claimed that the Iranian security forces have arrested the female journalist Nazla Marufeen, who published the interview with Mehsa Amini's father.

According to the human rights organization, the female journalist called her family and told them that she had been detained in Tehran at her relative's house and had been transferred to the capital's prison.

Nazla Marufeen published an interview with Mehsa Amini's father, Amjad, on an online news website on October 19, in which he quoted Mehsa's father as saying that his daughter had ever attempted suicide and that she had no complicated medical conditions. There were problems.

The female journalist also said that she could not publish this article for several days because her family members were receiving constant threats.

Nazla Marufeen's article was removed from the website, which said that Mehsa had some medical problems.

Mehsa Amini's family members said that their daughter was treated harshly in police custody, but the police officials deny this.

According to foreign media, Mehsa Amini's father said that he was told by the Ministry of Health official that he will write whatever he wants on the death certificate, it is not your job.

It should be noted that since the news of the death of Mahsa Amini, who was killed in police custody in Iran, the series of anti-government protests across the country, including Tehran, continues several weeks later.
