Lebanon's parliament failed to elect a president for the fifth time

Lebanon's parliament has failed to elect a president for the fifth time in economic crisis.

According to Arab News, the term of former Lebanese President Michael Aoun ended on October 31, after which a political vacuum was created due to differences between political factions over the formation of a new cabinet.

Since May this year, a fully functional government could not be established in Lebanon.

The country's administrative affairs are already being run under a caretaker government, while on the other hand, the three-year-old financial crisis is intensifying.
