The Democratic candidate from the state of Nevada, Kathryn Cortez Musto, was able to defeat her opponent, the Republican candidate, Adam Lexault, after which the governing party gained the upper hand in the Senate.

According to the latest results, the Democrats managed to get 50 seats in the Senate while the Republicans managed to get 49 seats.
