Political crisis persists; Elections for the fifth time in 4 years in Israel

Tel Aviv: Elections for the post of Prime Minister are being held in Israel for the fourth time since 2019 and Netanyahu is very optimistic about his success this time.

According to the international news organization, the voting process for the general elections in Israel is going on. Voting will start from 7 am and will continue till 10 pm.

It should be remembered that in June 2019, the longest tenure of 12 years of the then Prime Minister Nitin Ya Ho, surrounded by corruption charges, came to an end.

Netanyahu was defeated by a coalition consisting of 8 parties, but after that political stability did not come and general elections are being held for the fifth time in just three and a half years.

This time too, no single party seems to be in a position to gain a clear lead. Any party must win 61 seats to form the government.

Former Prime Minister Netanyahu, who was defeated in the 2019 election due to corruption allegations, is hopeful of winning this time and is trying to form an alliance with far-right parties.

However, Jewish settler Itmar bin Ghafir, 46, is also a strong candidate at the moment. He is a staunch Jewish leader, lawyer and Member of Assembly of Azmat Yehudi party.
