
Brussels: The European Union imposed new sanctions on 29 individuals and institutions, including Iran's interior minister and state TV.
According to the Arab media, in the statement released by the European Union, while condemning the violence against the protesters in Iran, the Iranian Minister of Interior Ahmed Vahidi, the Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the Chief of the Cyber Police are included.
EU sanctions on 29 Iranian companies and individuals include travel bans, asset freezes and others. Protests against the government have been ongoing in Iran for the past several weeks. Many people have been killed in violence and crackdown on protesters.
