Calcutta: 3 members of the Congress coalition government of the Indian state of Jharkhand were arrested red-handed along with crores of rupees.
According to Indian media, the West Bengal police arrested MLAs Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kashap and Naman Buxal and handed over the case to the CID after millions of rupees were recovered from the car of a member of the Assembly belonging to the Congress party of the Jharkhand government.
The Congress has alleged that crores of rupees recovered from its members were given by the Bharatiya Janata Party to topple the coalition government in Jharkhand.
The Congress spokesperson further said that members are being offered 10 crore rupees to topple the BJP government in Jharkhand.
On the other hand, BJP rejected this allegation and said that these amounts are evidence of the corruption of the coalition government in Jharkhand, which has kept the market of corruption hot in the state.
It should be noted that the Congress has suspended these three members of the Jharkhand Assembly who were arrested along with crores of rupees in West Bengal.
