 10 women from the United Arab Emirates have climbed Africa's highest peak.

According to the UAE's official news agency WAM, on Sunday, 10 women from the UAE climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak in Tanzania.

According to WAM, the campaign was organized by Majlis Abu Dhabi to celebrate Emirati Women's Day. The height of this peak is 5,895 meters.

Emirati women raised their heads and waved their country's flag.

According to the official news agency, this successful summit campaign shows the determination of Emirate women to work collaboratively and overcome obstacles.

Emirati Women's Day is celebrated on August 28 every year. On Sunday, women across the country participated in various activities on the occasion of this day.

According to WAM, the national leadership was appreciated on the occasion for empowering women and girls.

There is also the extraordinary role of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in the UAE, who heads the General Women's Union. She also chairs the Supreme Council of the Family Development Foundation.
