Trump sued the Justice Department after the raid on his residence

 Washington: Former US President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice after his residence was raided.

In his petition, Trump asked the federal court to bar the FBI from investigating documents seized during a raid on his residence two weeks ago. He demanded that the Department of Justice also provide him with a receipt for every document or item exported.

The former US president said in the petition that the FBI be ordered to stop the investigation of the documents until a neutral party or lawyer is appointed to oversee it. The goods, which were not mentioned in the warrant, should be returned.
