The Pentagon has announced a new $775 million package of defense equipment for Ukraine, including various types of missiles and artillery.
According to the French news agency AFP, the package includes more anti-armor weapons, including improved missiles for Hammars systems, Tau missiles and Javelin systems.

"We want to make sure that Ukraine has a permanent munitions system to meet its needs," a senior US defense official told reporters. This is the purpose of this package.
"Ukraine has made good use of the 19 packages of weapons provided by the United States since the attack on Moscow on February 24, which has helped them to stop the advance of the Russian army," he said.
"You see the Russians are paying a heavy price for the attacks in Ukraine," said a US defense official on condition of anonymity.
"It's very important to be able to sustain the successes that we've seen from the Ukrainians on the battlefield," he said.
The defense official added that the Ukrainians will need this kind of capability to advance their forces and retake territory.
