76 migrants, including 45 children, died after the boat sank in Syria

 Damascus: A boat carrying migrants from Lebanon to Europe for a better future capsized off the coast of Syria, resulting in the drowning of 76 people.

According to the World News Agency, while trying to take 150 migrants from Lebanon to Europe, the boat overturned on the coast of Syria and the passengers fell into the sea.

Coast Guard officials have so far recovered the bodies of 76 migrants, including 45 children, from the sea while others have been rescued, out of which 20 are undergoing treatment in hospital and 3 are said to be in critical condition.

These immigrants left Lebanon to go to Europe some time ago, the economic situation in Lebanon is very bad and the government has also banned money withdrawal from banks.

Due to the economic crisis in Lebanon, a large number of citizens turn to European countries for a better future and become victims of such accidents.
