The trial of police officers involved in extrajudicial killings in Kenya has begun

 Nairobi: The trial of the case against the murderous police squad has started in the African country of Kenya.

According to Canyon Media, The Star, four police officers have been arrested for their involvement in several incidents of killing, kidnapping and torture of innocent people in different parts of the country, and the trial against them will begin today in the capital, Nairobi. .

The officials belonged to the elite police squad Special Services Unit (SSU), which has been accused of several cases of extrajudicial killings and disappearance of suspects.

Kenyan President William Ruto disbanded the squad in July for its involvement in the disappearance of two Indian nationals, Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and Mohammad Zaid Sami Qadwai. The bodies of the two men were found in a forest in central Kenya.

These officials have been accused of murder, abuse of power, criminal conspiracy in the case filed against them.

Human rights organizations say that according to independent investigations, Canyon SSU and police units have been involved in the killing of more than 600 people in the last four years. He has demanded a case against these police officers.
